Best Recipe Homemade Lasagna

The ideal supper is Lasagna, and of all the recipes I’ve tried over the years, this one is the best. We even created Lasagna roll-ups out of it because we enjoyed it so much. Not only is it tasty and filling, but it’s also simple to cook. Although it is great as is, you can customize it by using your preferred ingredients.

The Homemade Lasagna stores, reheats, and freezes so well, a durable food against contamination to rest in the fridge for a couple of days after cooking. Lasagna is a mainstay in our home for hectic school nights and even lunch for kids.

Though there is a variety of lasagnas. My homemade recipe is based on organic ingredients; I would call it “Three-Cheese Lasagna”. For exact measurements and instructions, see the recipe below.

Ingredients Required:

Chicken:  For a juicier Lasagna, we utilized chicken.
Onion:      Either yellow or sweet onions work well.
Garlic:      You can add more garlic cloves if you like garlic.
Chicken Broth: This enhances the flavor of your sauce by adding chicken broth.
Marinara sauce: Use either homemade or store-bought marinara sauce.
Dried Thyme: It is possible to substitute dried thyme with basil, oregano, or Italian seasoning.
Sugar:     The acidity of the tomatoes is balanced by the sugar.
Parsley:  Parsley, either flat-leaf or curly, is suitable.
Noodles for Lasagna: Cook until they are al dente (cooked enough to be firm but not soft); they will continue to soften while the Lasagna bakes.
Egg:   Helps keep the cheese layer together.
Cottage Cheese:  Great addition is cottage cheese.

Making a “Three-Cheese Lasagna”:

Wash and thoroughly clean the chicken before starting the Chicken Lasagna preparation. Combine salt, pepper powder, lime juice, and paprika powder in a mixing dish.

Making the chicken sauce in advance will allow you to get a good start on this recipe. Despite this, you can still prepare it all at once, even for a weeknight supper.

For around 1-2 hours, cover and marinate the chicken.

To brown the chicken, add oil to a deep pan and cook the chicken, onion, and garlic for 5 minutes, or until the chicken is browned.

To complete the sauce, add 1/4 cup of broth and whisk until almost all of it has evaporated. Add the marinara sauce, and season with salt, pepper, thyme, sugar, and parsley. Cook for 5 minutes with the cover on.

In order to make the cheese filling, combine all of the ingredients for the cheese sauce with 1 cup of mozzarella in a mixing bowl.

Prepare by preheating your oven to 375°F.

In order to 3 noodles, 1 cup of mozzarella, half of the chicken mixture, and a fourth of the chicken sauce are placed on top. Repeat layering the noodles, adding another third of the chicken stock and half of the ricotta mixture. Chicken broth and the remaining noodles should be added on top. Repeat, then add a single layer of noodles, 1/3 of the remaining mozzarella, and the last of the chicken broth on top.
Bake – Wrap the dish in foil and bake it at 375°F for 45 minutes. Then, remove the foil and broil the dish for 3 to 5 minutes, or until the cheese is just beginning to brown.

Hurray! You have just made the sumptuous “Three-Cheese Lasagna”.
